Service Advisor

Five Star Wheels and Tires is a busy, established auto repair shop proudly serving the Oakland Park community. We are looking for an experienced Service Advisor to become a key part of our daily operations and grow with us long-term.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how an auto repair shop works, enjoys working with customers, and can confidently communicate with technicians while keeping jobs organized and moving efficiently.

You will be the main point of contact between our customers and our technicians. You play a critical role in ensuring repairs are clearly communicated, parts are ordered correctly, and customers feel informed and taken care of throughout the repair process.

This is not an entry-level or retail customer service position. Prior experience in an auto repair or body shop environment is required.

Required Experience

Applicants must have previous experience in an auto repair or body shop.

  • Experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar front-desk role
  • Experience ordering automotive parts
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technicians and customers
  • Comfortable handling multiple vehicles and priorities in a fast-paced shop

General retail, call center, or hospitality experience alone does not qualify.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and listen carefully to vehicle concerns
  • Ask the right questions to clearly understand symptoms and issues
  • Create accurate repair orders and communicate directly with technicians
  • Explain repair recommendations, timelines, and costs to customers
  • Order automotive parts from approved suppliers, considering price and delivery time
  • Manage appointments, walk-ins, and job flow throughout the day
  • Follow up with customers regarding repair status and approvals
  • Keep the front office organized and running smoothly
